yesterday I had a combined product and people shoot with Mexican artist and painter Sarah Köhl in the wonderful atmosphere of the tower at the Stadtwald in northern Germanys Hansestadt Bremen.
After I had picked up Sarah at the railway station in Bremen, coming from Düsseldorf, where she headed from Mexico via Los Angeles. We then drove to the Bürgerpark, precisely to the northern end and the little lake in the Stadtwald with its beautiful old tower.
Sarah unpacked her beautiful paintings and we started to take photos of her paintings as well as of herself together with her paintings. We were more than lucky with the weather. The sun provided us a beautiful light around the old tower, so that I could take most of the photos without any additional light. I used my Sony Alpha 58 changing in-between the Tamron DI SP 2.8/70-200 and the Sony DT 1.8/50 lenses, so I had a good combination for close ups as well as near distance portraits. Just one photo, the favorite of Sarah by the way, was taken with a Sony DT 3.5-5.6/18-55 lens to manage to get the complete tower on the picture together with Sarah and her paintings.
It was a really nice shoot and I'm glad, that Sarah asked me to do the photos for her promotion tour in Europe. I wish her all the luck for a good tour throughout Europe and hope, she will find a huge group of interested people to have a look at her wonderful paintings.
These four photos, taken by me, were selected by GuruShots to be showcased as part of the "memorable portraits" exhibition at the Palazzo ca’ Zanardi during the Venice Biennale in June 2019.
I like to thank everybody of the participating photographers for voting my photos, so that I had the opportunity to be showcased at this famous exhibition during Venice Biennale 2019.
A big thanks also to my models Leah Kasem and Lina Brandt.
about two weeks ago I had a short-term appointment for a shoot in Hamburg for Streetfashion MagZZine. Indeed there were two models and it appeared to be a really amazing shoot with these two beauties, even we had to start in the early Sunday morning.
I like to show you two of the photos, we have done this morning to showcase how to use urban backgrounds to expose the models.
Also I show you the original photos (the two smaller photos in the middle) and the edited version for you to see how to highlight the colors. The editing for the photos was done with the free version of Photoscape. So for those, who just start off in photography: You don't always have to pay for your editing software to get good results. Hope you enjoy. Have a nice weekend.
So don't wonder, if you see some goose bumps on Paula's skin, when you look at her on the photos. Paula for sure was freezing, cause I had to force her to stay in the shadow most of the time not to have too much sun on the photos, what can happen very easily, if you choose lunchtime for a shoot. Never the less she did an amazing job and I really love the results. On these photos we used a construction area in the near of the promenade. Have a look and get an impression yourself.
Today I like to show you some of the photos out of last weekends shoot with the enchanting model Vanessa Grünwald. We used the lovely weather and met behind Universal Studios directly besides the river Spree in Berlin.
Tasks were an editorial shoot for Streetfashion MagZZine and photos for Vanessa's sponsor Bodybuilding Depot. We combined the two tasks and got some incredible results. Thanks to Vanessa for her amazing performance.
One of my photos was selected by GuruShots to be digitally showcased as part of the "My Favorite Shots" exhibition at Xpozer's New Gallery located at Caballero Fabriek, The Hage, Netherlands, starting on Thursday, February 21st 2019.
The photo was taken in the late summer of 2017 on the island of Orust, Sweden, at the kayak site of Bohus Kayak.
If you like to kayak, this is the right spot to rent a kayak, learn to paddle and just have a great time on the water.
the shoot for the cover July 2018 of Streetfashion MagZZine was done in the middle of June in the old part of the city of Norrköping, Östergötlands Land Sweden. It was a nice and sunny day. Model Jessica Lingonstierna was well prepared, when I came to Norrköping, and we started right away in the early afternoon after having a cup of coffee. For the shoot Jessica has worn black boots from ACQUO of Sweden.
The cover photo was done as one of the first photos of that day. It was taken with a Sony Alpha 58 and a DT 4-5.6/55-200 SAM lens. I used the following settings (ƒ/4.0, 70.0 mm, 1/200, ISO 100) with just available light. The photo afterwards was edited with Photoshop.
Today I like to show you some photos out of my last session with model Olivia Tegelberg. After a hard and long winter in Sweden Olivia and me decided to have a photo session at the old locks in Trollhättan.
The first photo shows a part of our location, a small building with some palm trees. In the background you can see, that the nature just started to blossom and that we had overcast. The temperature was just about 10 degrees centigrade.
Thanks to Olivia for her great performance at this weather conditions.
We tried to make the best out of this location and went for some palm tree photos, that I took with a Sony SLT-A58 and a Sony DT 4-5.6/55-200 SAM lens.
Using available light, I worked in manual mode with focal length 200, an aperture of 5.6 and an exposure of 1/125. After our shoot I did some editing with Photoshop and got the following pictures as result.
once again one of my photos out of last summers session with model Olivia Tegelberg was featured in the inspiration flow of YouPic. Thanks to Olivia for her great performance.
middle of October model Rebecca and me met for this photo session with an Audi convertible car. These are two of the pictures captured inside the car. The left one again got featured in YouPic's inspiration flow.
